Get past perfection and fear of failure.

When I was a new mother, there were definitely times that I felt like a failure.

I thought I was making a million mistakes. Especially when I was in the swamp of postpartum depression/anxiety, I just knew I was messing her up. I spent time during those first months reading and researching all kinds of ways other people had figured out to not make the mistakes I was making. I was so afraid to fail at this thing called “being a mother.” Even as I was building A Living Family–a compassionate community–I would not share these darker parts for fear of what others would think.

I remember the painful circling that happen in my mind and heart as a new mother. I remember closing my eyes at night as a newly back to work full time mother when my first child wouldn’t drink more than a few ounces away from me. The days were rough, and she nursed all night and needed that time to connect with me after being gone all day.

When I had my second, I found a surprising, crushing hurt of mothering two — what I call tandem nurturing. The desire to meet all the needs of two children plus my relationship and my home on top of building a heart-centered coaching business and community for other parents (and myself) had me running in circles on a whole new level.

Despite all my previous efforts, I found I still had habits and thought patterns that were taking me away from my vision and values for myself as a parent, partner or person.

Something needed to change. I needed to transform.

The Key to Transformation? Nurturing YOU…

This was the message I got over and over, and with “Focus on You” as one of my top communication tips I knew it was time to dive deeper. I saw that other women needed this same shift. I began to explore the concept of turning the watering can from everyone else’s garden to my own.

Seems so simple, yet is actually quite radical and sometimes met with surprising internal and external resistance.

You are enough. You matter.

You are enough. You matter.

And so I created the Nurturing You program, out of my heart and experience, to let go of perfectionism and fear. To release all that heavy baggage that keep women and families from thriving. To lighten hearts and brighten lives by nourishing the seeds of beliefs, values and dreams of women, of You.

And from that circle of women coming together around mindfulness and self care I created Nurturing You: A Mindful Self Care Guide for Women. So, now you have access to simple acts of reflection and doable action steps to shift habits and thought patterns in addition to an experience of transformation in the safety and nourishment of the Nurturing You Circle to which the book is a companion.

We all want to feel worthy.

We all dream of purpose and contribution.

We all thrive on joy, connection, presence and love.

You are worthy.

You are important.

You can experience joy!
